NCATs role is to support the NHS to develop world class cancer services and to implement the NHS Cancer Reform Strategy. At a practical level this may mean:
- Implementation of best practice guidance (e.g. NICE Improving Outcomes Guidance)
- Quality Assurance of NHS Cancer Services through Cancer Peer Review
- Development of new guidance for Cancer Services
- Data Analysis
- Support and Development of NHS Cancer Networks
- Cancer Workforce Development and Training
- Supporting World Class Commissioning for Cancer Services
